Wonders of Wetlands and Waterfowl
As one of the few state parks in Virginia that has a wetland area where the water level can be controlled, we are very excited to share this resource with our guests. We will discuss why this type of impoundment is so special, and necessary, and then take a hike down to the wetland to see it's wonders. During our hike we will talk about the many different type of wildlife, and specifically waterfowl, that use this habitat. And hopefully have a chance to see some of them! Please, wear appropriate shoes for the hike and binoculars are encouraged. Program will begin in our Visitor Center. FREE.
